Born in Tokyo, studied under Iwabuchi Shigeya in Kyoto in 1974, and built a kiln in Hiki-gun, Saitama Prefecture in 1982. Awarded a prize at the Kinki Branch Exhibition of Traditional Craft. Solo exhibitions at Shibuya Matsuoka, Urawa Isetan Department store, etc. Works mainly high-fired unglazed ceramics, powder glaze, and white porcelain.
