From Kuwana. Graduated from Nanzan University and the Seto Ceramic Training Institute. Studied under Kanzaki Shiho of Shigaraki ware for 7 years. Became independent in 1985. Created Shigaraki ware and Raku ware with hand-forming and Shino ware and Hagi ware using the tatara.
