Born at a pottery in Tokoname. A pen name is Shugo. Graduated from the Ceramics Department of Tokoname High School and built a kiln in Hojo, Tokoname in 1973. Selected for the Tokai Traditional Craft Exhibition, the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, and Chunichi International Ceramic Art Exhibition. Works with natural glaze and sintering.
