Born in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Studied sculpture under Inui Hatsu, Asakura Fumio, and pottery under his foster father Kakusho. Won prizes at the Nitten, Ishikawa Prefectural Exhibition, Toto Exhibition, Nippu Exhibition, Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and others. Awarded the Komatsu Mayor’s Prize. Awarded the Hokkoku Newspaper Award. Awarded the Kutani New Work Exhibition Prize. Honorable Mention at the Ishikawa Traditional Craft Exhibition. Award for Meritorious Service to Traditional Industry in Ishikawa Prefecture, and many others. As a member of Japan Ceramic Carving Association, has completed ceramic carving as well as crystalline glazes.
