Graduated from the Department of Fine Art at Saga University with a Major in Craft Art and from the Department of Craft Art with a Major in Education. Started working at the Saga Prefectural Ceramic Experimental Institute in 1962. Later was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Saga University. Selected for the Nitten Exhibition, Contemporary Craft Art Exhibition, and other exhibitions and won awards. Works focus on objects made with Hakuji.
