Trained for 3 years at the Ceramic Technique Training School at the Kyoto Ceramic Instruction Institute. Later learned firing techniques in an ascending kiln at Shigaraki, started Fumon kiln in the home of Iga ware, and became independent. Works focus on tea bowls.
