From Bizen. Studied under Kusaka Shunyo and Arao Tsunezo of Kyo ware in 1946. Later worked at a brick company managed by his elder brother, started an ascending kiln and square kiln for firing celadon in Wake, Okayama in 1972. Held private exhibitions in the Tobu in Ikebukuro and around the country.
