After serving as the head of the Mie Prefectural Ceramic Experimental Institute Research Office, started the Tosei Tobo studio in Kawagoe, Mie in 1976 and researched Iga Ware and Ko-Banko decoration techniques. Created objects inside the tanks at Shima Marineland Aquarium, the ceramic walls at Hisai Park, and other items. Works focus on tableware and tea sets using Ko-Banko style Akae red iron overglaze.
