Born as The son of Hosai the 14th of Asahi ware in Uji, Kyoto. Graduated from the Department of Science at Chubu University. Trained in the spinning lathe at the Kyoto Ceramic Training School. Later trained under his father Hosai. Selected for the Traditional Craft Art Kinki Branch Exhibition and other exhibitions. Works focus on cinnabar, Jun ware, and Yuriko red copper glaze.
