Real name is Nobutoshi. Second son of the previous generation Kazan. Assumed the name of the 4th generation when graduating from Bizen High School in 1955. Won numerous awards at the Japan Craft Art Society East Chugoku Branch Exhibition from 1960 on and served as a judge and Manager. Won the Asahi Newspaper Award at the Contemporary Japan Ceramic Craft Exhibition. Won the Kaneshige Toyo Award. Won the Okayama Prefectural Cultural Merit Award in 1985. Served as the President of the Bizen Toshinkai. Director of the Tokokai. Official Member of the Japan Craft Art Society. Held private exhibitions at the Kuroda Toen in Ginza, the Takashimaya in Nihombashi, and other venues.
