Trained at the Hokkaido Industrial Experimental Institute Nopporo Ceramic Factory in 1975. Later started Kitaizumi kiln in Ishikari and became independent. Held annual private exhibitions at Maruzen Gallery in Sapporo since 1979. Works focus on flower bowls and tea bowls with Hai-yu ash glaze and Tetsu-yu iron glaze.
