Goes by the name of Sessho. Began making ceramics in 1952. Studied under Kato Hajime, Fujimoto Yoshimichi, and Yamamoto Seinen. Won the Shinsho Craft Art Society Award. Won the Saitama Prefectural Governor’s Award. Judge for Prefectural and Municipal Exhibitions. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Art Exhibition and Kofukai Exhibition. Exhibited at Tojinsha, Togenkai, and Santokai Exhibitions. Held private exhibitions at the Matsuzakaya in Ueno and other venues. Official member of the Japan Kogei Association. President of the Saitama Ceramic Society. Works focus on ceramics with flower patterns and Moriage designs.
