Asahi-te kiln. After retiring at the age of 70, he aspired to make ceramics, beginning studies at a cultural center for about one year before learning on his own how to make leaf marked Tenmoku ceramics. Recipient of the Seto Citizens’ Exhibition Award, City Council Chairman’s Award, Board of Education Award, and other honors.
