Repeatedly made ceramics under Kondo Yuzo and Kondo Hiroshi. Excelled in painting with natural zaffre glaze, as well as overglazes and other works based on Chinese porcelain. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition for the first time in 1996 and won Special Selection the following year. Started a studio in Gojo, Kyoto in 1998 and has held private exhibitions every year.
