From Hokkaido. Dropped out of Kokugakuin University. Studied under Kawakami Shozaburo from Chiba. Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, the Musashino Exhibition, and the New Works Exhibition. Has held solo exhibitions in Sapporo Mitsukoshi, Tokyu and elsewhere. Associate member of the Japan Crafts Association. Focuses on kneading, Jun ware, and kohiki (white powdered-looking ceramics).
