Nagami Kojin 永見鴻人

1935-

From Tokyo. Graduated from Waseda University. Studied under Kawai Unosuke and Yasuhara Kimei. Studied in the New York Pottery Studio from 1970. Started a studio in Hiraiji, Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, in 1976. Was involved in studies of ancient Egypt in Waseda University, excavations of ancient Islamic and Chinese ceramics, and the fifth Egyptian excavation. Selected for the Japan Modern Crafts Exhibition, won the Members’ Commemoration Prize, and is a member. Has been selected for the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition many times. Made ceramic walls for the Saitama Prefecture Pediatric Medicine Center, the Ueda Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and others. Has held solo exhibitions at Shinjuku Odakyu and elsewhere.
