From Otaki, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture. Graduated from the craft department design course in the Tokyo School of Arts. Set up Sangetsuyo Kiln in 1973 in Umesato, known for its Yoshino plum frests. His Western paintings were consecutively selected for the first Independent Art Association Exhibition. Has served as vice-president of the Education Ceramics Research Association, and president of the Tama Ceramics Association. Selected for and won prizes at the Traditional Crafts New Works Exhibition and the Musashino Exhibition. His works have been exhibited at the Toen Selected Exhibition at Ginza Matsuzakaya, etc.
