From a Kutani potter family. Studied under his father the second Kihei, as well as Takato Gaku. Became the third Kihei. Selected for and won prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, Issui-kai Exhibition, etc. Focuses on overglaze enamels, blue-and-white ceramics, Goryeo- and Joseon-style tea bowls, and kneading. Regular member of the Japan Crafts Association.
