Inspired by the work of Kitaoji Rosanjin, she aspired to become a potter. Trained at Miyashita Zenji Pottery studio in Kyoto. First prize at the All Kansai Exhibition. Awarded NHK Prize at the Kyo-Ten Exhibition and other awards. Awarded many prizes at the Japan New Crafts Exhibition and Nitten. Member of the Japan Industrial Federation (Nihon Shinko Renmei).
