Born in Yokohama City. After his apprenticeship under Shimizu Uichi, he went independent in 1980. Won nominations in the Japan Kogei Association Kinki Branch Exhibition and Tokai Branch Exhibition. Listed his works in the Uzuki Kai. Mainly uses ash glaze and iron glaze.
